Stitching on the Rio Grande

This blog is dedicated to the use of stitchers along the eastern Rio Grande Valley. We invite you to discuss your projects, ask questions, compare progress, announce new opportunities, and post your photos. Above all this should be a way to communicate and have fun.

Medieval Herb Garden Chatelaine Piece progress

I have been cross stitching like crazy on this piece. Once I finish with the cross stiches then on to the Rhodes Stitches. All of the blocks in the arches are rhodes stitches. Her basket on her head will be a woven stitch.

Christmas Ornament Exchange

I am so excited! I have chosen something from my stash to stitch for the ornament exchange!
Now all I have to do is get it done! Who else is stitching their ornament? Are you going to be one of those who misses out because you just didn't get around to it?

Sampler

Trecia - welcome to the blog and glad to see you posted.

No, there is no border around the center - just the borders around each square.

Question about mystery sampler

Hi ladies! Is there a border around the middle section??? I didn't see any directions for one. Just thought I would ask. Thanks

Let's get Blogging

David S gave ToT Members a quick tutorial on how to access and use the blog. We certainly hope to see more postings and pictures of fabulous projects from everyone.

ToT is Sweet "16"

Everyone enjoyed celebrating the 16th Anniversary of Tip of Texas' EGA founding.

If you were not here, we missed YOU!

Oops

I said I wasn't a techie.

Arabia 3

.

I have now completed section 3 of Arabia.  The stitches are fun.  There is a lot of compensation, but it is fully diagrammed so that helps.  I will post more when all of Section A is complete.

Hopefully after yesterday's meeting, more of you will be encouraged to start posting pictures of your work.  Pictures are what make our blog really interesting.  If you haven't learned how to manipulate pictures, start trying.l  It only took me about a year to figure it out, but I never claimed to be a techie.

We are having a memorial service at 7 PM on Wednesday, October 13 at Trinity Funeral home. (Paper misprinted it today). I will miss stitching with her everyday. See you all at the meeting Saturday, both girls will be there again and Brownsville girls Susan has Pampered Chef for you. Lenore
