Stitching on the Rio Grande

This blog is dedicated to the use of stitchers along the eastern Rio Grande Valley. We invite you to discuss your projects, ask questions, compare progress, announce new opportunities, and post your photos. Above all this should be a way to communicate and have fun.

Up date on finish your project challenge for 2011

So far I have 50 posted challenge pieces that our club plans on working on this year. Some do not have a title of the piece or the name of the stitcher who is completing their piece. Can you please add a comment to your pieces if they are not already labeled. Please remind everyone that their piece must be posted to the blog by the end of February to be enrolled for this challenge. Anyone who can not post to the blog should bring their piece to February's meeting so that one of us will photograph and then post for them. I am creating a spreadsheet with all of the entries so we will all be able to see what our group has selected for projects. Some of you are planning on being really ambitious. Hopefully the last two days you have had time to stitch while staying warm at home. The sun is now shining! Hallelujah! Tami

  1. I am planning on completing a number of stitched projects by making them into items such as pillows, book marks and ornaments. Don't think these qualify for our contest but the box labeled "completed needlework" won't close anymore so space is needed.
